Ways to Work Together

There are times when words are exactly what we need—and times when they are not enough. Our time together may include conversation, silence, pondering a Sacred text, creative practice, movement, imagination, or attention to the natural world.

Whatever form our time takes, we begin with curiosity about what is stirring and what might be asking for our attention.

Spiritual Direction

Spiritual direction is a practice of listening together for the movement of the Sacred in your life. You do not need to be in crisis—or even know exactly what you are seeking. You may simply be noticing a longing, a question, a change in what you believe, or a desire to pay deeper attention.

Our time may include conversation, silence, prayer, Sacred texts, imagination, creative practice, or simply noticing what emerges. My role is not to provide answers, but to accompany you as we listen for what is stirring and what may be inviting your attention.

Spiritual direction is not counseling or psychotherapy.

Expressive Arts

Sometimes words are not enough for what we are experiencing—or we may not yet have words for what is happening within us. Creative practice can offer another way of listening.

When it is helpful, our time together might include visual art, poetry, music, movement, story, or other forms of creative expression. You do not need to consider yourself an artist. The purpose is not to make something “accomplished,” but to notice what may become visible, felt, or known through the process.

Nature and Forest Immersion

The natural world can offer another place for listening and attention. Time outdoors can slow us down, awaken our senses, and help us notice what may be difficult to hear amid the pace and demands of ordinary life.

Our time might involve walking, stillness, sensory invitations, conversation, prayer, or simply paying attention to what draws your notice. These sessions can take place in your own wild space by phone, or in person when location allows.
